Dr. Horn

Doctor Horn moved to Crystal River in 1975. He attended Central Florida Community College and then graduated from The University of South Florida in Tampa.

Dr. Horn grew up and worked in the jewelry business with his father. He then opened up an interior design center in Crystal River. Dr. Horn owned and operated the center for 15 years. During this time Dr. Horn developed health related issues from the decorating center. He went to a number of medical doctors to get help, with no improvement.

During that time multiple chemical sensitivities, and chronic fatigue syndrome were not well recognized, or treated. During this same time Dr. Horn also developed cardiac problems. With considerable effort on his own, by reading and researching everything he could, Dr. Horn finally figured out that the decorating center was a big part of the toxic problem, and if he was going to get better, it would be on his own.

Dr. Horn researched various healthcare professions to learn more and thus help himself and others. He started with researching medical schools, but the medical profession was not of any help with his illness.

He next looked at chiropractic. Dr. Horn did not know much about Chiropractic at the time, but researched the healing art and liked the philosophy of solving the root of the problem instead of curing symptoms. Further research revealed that Doctors of Chiropractic were the largest group of Natural and Alternative health care providers in the country. He found that chiropractic used a drugless, natural approach that included nutrition, manipulation, basically any approach that would help the body move towards better healing.

Laura Horn

Laura Horn, RN has been a registered nurse for over 30 years. She has worked in many different areas in nursing including critical care, oncology, various surgery settings, medical offices and clinical informatics. Laura has worked as a patient care nurse and nursing supervisor. She was a nurse manager for the third busiest hospital in the Houston area.

Having spent many long years in the allopathic “traditional” system of medicine and seeing so many unresolved cases, Laura shares Dr. Horn’s belief in Optimal Health, Natural Choices and Natural Medicine. To see the system fail in so many places, there had to be something more. Instead of trying to treat the symptoms, what happened to finding out the cause and working in such a way to help the body heal?

Currently she is working in the office assisting with patients, doing Meridian Health Assessments, monitoring our Nutrition Patients, reviewing drug interactions, blood work as well as our Facial Rejuvenation program. Laura is a Reiki master and does sessions in the office. She also does classes upon request for groups of 4-8.

To further enhance our office, she is pursuing her Nurse Practitioner Degree. This will help many of our patients wanting to maintain a completely holistic and natural approach to health.

Maureen Goodwill, LMT

Maureen Maureen Goodwill, Licensed Massage Therapist, is a Florida native and a National Board Certified Massage Therapist. Maureen is a reiki master and has completed Cranial Sacral I with Upledger Institute. She started her medical career in dentistry. After 15 years, she branched out to podiatry, retinal ophthalmology, chiropractic and internal medicine. While working as a medical assistant, it didn't take long to realize that allopathic medicine does little to facilitate "healing". The main focus seemed to be on managing "symptoms of dis-ease".

Maureen previously worked for Dr. Horn several years ago. She moved to the east coast and attended massage school. She now lives in Homosassa. She says she feels very fortunate to be with Dr. Horn; working as a tool to help restore and promote perfect harmony of mind, body and spirit.

Falyyn Loderbauer, LMT

Falyyn Falyyn received her massage therapy training from the International School of Beauty in New Port Richey, Florida. She has been licensed since 2001. Since that time Falyyn has worked in a variety of challenging environments from residential homes to professional spas. Falyyn prides herself in keeping up with educational courses to continuously broaden her outlook on massage therapy. She specializes in Swedish, deep tissue, sports specific and injury massage. She is excited about working with Dr. Horn in one of Florida’s premier natural health clinics.

Sarah Torres

Sarah Sarah Torres started working for her family's chiropractor in NY, back in 2003. Before then, while attending high school, she assisted her family in running a martial arts school.

When she began employment with her chiropractor, she started as a chiropractic assistant. She learned to provide various therapies, diagnostic tests, develop X-rays & also assisted with re-exams. From there, she was offered the chance to work up front as a receptionist. She worked between both positions until she moved from Long Island, New York, to the North Central Florida area.

Sarah has been living in the state of Florida with her family since 2006. When she moved to Florida, she spent time with her family overseeing the building of their new home, as well as looking into other job opportunities and ways to make income.

Sarah has an interest in business, which is what she focused her studies on in school. She continues to assist at martial arts seminars, and planning and promoting a seminar for her instructor, who is her father.

Recently, Sarah has decided to work again for a chiropractor, which she had enjoyed. She worked for another office at the front desk, expanding her knowledge and skills.

Now, she is looking forward to working for Dr. Horn and is amazed at all the treatment approaches and services available. Sarah values wellness and is excited to learn more about the various ways that one can optimize their health at Advanced Health with Dr. Horn.
